Best setting for me
Hi, Sorry for my english.
My home is on two plains.
Rooms 1 2 3
Rooms 4 5 6
Into 1 have modem/router (2,4 and 5ghz).
Devices into 1 2 3 are smartphones, they have 5ghz support
Into 4 i have extender ex7000. In this room i have 2 line of wifi signal from modem. Into this room i have smartv(5ghz), chomecast (2,4ghz), ps4(2,4ghz).
Into 4 5 6 i used tablet and smartphone with 5ghz Support, they are connected to extender
Into 6 i have desktop(2,4ghz) and it is connected to extender.
So: in your opinioni which is the best setting for extender?Fastlane? One ssid?
If i use Fastlane i can use it only setting 5ghz with router+2,4 with devices, but the band Will bè not too lower for using smartv and others device at same time?
Another dubt is if the devices are so intelligent to switch to best wifi.
Maybe the best solution is disable Fastlane and connect smarttv to 5ghz extender and others device automatic switch when i move from rooms to others ?

If your mobile devices get a good 5 Ghz connection to the router in room 4, then I wouldn't use fastlane.
If they get a poor connection, then perhaps use fastlane on 2.4 ghz, and extend your network over 5 Ghz. Or try the extender in room 3, and see if it has enough reach to get to room 6 from there.
