Hello fredand
You will need to factory reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10 seconds then you should be able to do the setup again.

Hello Darren, thanks for your answer. I tried what you said, twice acctually, but it is still the same. The extender has no problem to connect and extend my old router. But it can not stay connected and extend my new router.
All suggestions are welcome.
Best regards

- exxtreme76401Aug 09, 2017AspirantWhat security settings are you using? You device maybe older and not support the new encryption.
- fredandAug 09, 2017AspirantInteresting!
What parameter should I look for?
Hopefully they are named the same.
Best regards!

Hello fredand
You would go into the wireless settings and look for security type its recommend to have WPA2 but you could try just WPA.

i was refering to the encryton (aes or tkip) but yes the authentication method can also be a problem if your device doesnt support it.
- fredandAug 22, 2017AspirantNo luck!
At the last step it just say that I have to move it closer.
In the router for encryption I could choose auto, aes or tkip. Does the extender prefer any of these?
Best
