Cannot find PIN to install signal booster

My daughter has bought a wireless signal booster to extend the range of her DG834G Netgear Router. We have spent hours following forum advice on how to find the router's PIN which is not shown on the label. We have accessed the router's 'software setup details' for want of the proper term and nowhere can we see the eight (or is it four) digit PIN. What can we do, please. We are not experts and need a simple explanation how to proceed. Thanks.

I don't own this router But, in looking at the manual online I couldn't find any reference of a Pin number, from what I've seen in other Netgear routers that option is under advanced wireless setup.

Looking at the picture I could not find a button to push to activate it or a LED which depicts it either.

If there isn't a button to activate it I would assume the option is not present.

But hey I could be wrong.
  • DG834xx fily should no have WPS options

If it does it will shown on router GUI with PIN number show in the router interface and NOT sticker on outside of the router
  • Thank you both. On forums I read that the PIN should be found, having enteredthe router's control software, a username and password in (I think) an Advanced tab but it isn't there.

Is there another way to 'start again' with the router and set it up in a way to enable the booster? As you can tell this is not my expertise.
