Can't find NETGEAR_EXT

I have a NETGEAR AX1800 Mesh extender, Model: EAX15

I have previously used it in a different apartment without issue, but now when trying to install it in a new home, it wont provide the NETGEAR_EXT seemingly no matter what I do. I have tried to factory reset numerous times, and I've tried all the methods listed on the website (WPS, app or browser)

If I try the WPS method, whenever I click the WPS button on the extender nothing happens, no light starts blinking, as the website says it will.

I find it a bit awkward to hold the paperclip in that tiny hole when this product is plugged into a wall outlet.  My solution has been to plug the extender into an extension cord for the reset process.  (I actually do all the setup with WiFi extenders using an extension cord and then plug the extender into a wall outlet when the setup is finished.)

Wireless Protected Setup (WPS) has two uses on this product:

    • To connect the EAX15 to the host network (page 12), and
    • To connect devices to the EAX WiFi (page 19).

I meant to say I’ve successfully factory reset the device multiple times, but it hasn’t helped. At least I think I have. I’ve pushed the button until the orange light starts blinking, then released, and after a while the solid orange turns green.

As for the WPS, yes what you are saying is what I’m trying to use it for, but the device doesn’t react to me pushing the button like the instructions suggest. No WPS light starts blinking flashing green like the instructions say it should.

IF you push wps on it and the router, can you log into the router and see if it connected?

The mesh extenders user the same ssid/password as the router in default and wps mode. So it'd be interesting to see if its connecting and you're just not realizing it.

tested this now, but it doesn’t show up when I log into the router either. Could it be that the WPS button is just broken on my device? I feel like the other methods should work if that was the case
