Can't reinstall Nighthawk EX7300 extender

I bought a netgear Nighthawk EX7300 last year and set it up, needed help from phone support, then it would drop connections, I would call again, then we would do a factory reset and re-set it up with the assistant by typing in mywifiext.net and or static IP adress,. After 90 days it lost connection a few times and I eventually unplugged it because I did not need extention for a period of time and I was tired of the hassle every week. Now I need to extend again but I cant seem to get my browser to recogognize my device, I plugged it in, pressed the reset button, went to mywifiext.net but it says "

YOU ARE NOT CONNECTED TO YOUR EXTENDER’S WIFI NETWORK. PLEASE CHECK YOUR CURRENT CONNECTION AND TRY AGAIN.

For detailed instructions how to do this please see: http://kb.netgear.com/app/answers/detail/a_id/29746" so I follow the instructions there, cleard the cache and history of my chrome , IE and Firefox browsers, I follow instructions and "enter the extender's default IP address: 192.168.1.250." but nothing happens with that IP address, the connection times out.

 

I am throughly frustrated at this point, have read seceral articals, have downlaoded the document for this model. I do not yuet want to spend money to get help from netgear pro. Any suggestions?

    Hello freykr

     

    Have you tried using a Ethernet cord and directly connecting a laptop to the extender then try logging into the web ui of the extender?
