can't set up wifi extender!
Hi, we recently bought a AC1200 dual band wifi range extender for our sons bedroom at the top of our house but can't get it set up.. it won't work via WPS connection or through the www.mywifiext.net ...
It might be too far away.
Can you connect to the router network from his bedroom with another device? Normally the extender needs to be part way between the router and the dead spot - so it can get a solid connection to both.
Another option is to exchange the extender for a powerline product (for instance the PLW1000). That connects a wifi module (that you'd put in his bedroom) with an ethernet module (that you'd put near the router). The connection between the modules uses your house wiring.
