Change backhaul frequency
My EX8000 is currently running 2.4Ghz backhaul. How do I change it to 5.8Ghz? Am I correct that 5.8Ghz backhaul is preferred?

Usually yes, but if the extender is too far from the router then 2.4 ghz might be best.

Does your router use a different SSID for each band? If so, you can configure the EX8000 to use the appropriate SSID.
