Compatibility with Windstream modem

Is the NIGHTGEAR Nighthawk AC200 WiFi Mesh Extender EX 7700 compatible with all modems?  I have a Windstream Gateway Modem with 50 Mbps?

    The EX7700 needs to connect to a router. Not a modem. 

    If your windstream device is a modem/router combo device, then it should work with it. 

    What windstream gateway is it?
