configuring extender
my browsers redirect http to https, so I can't configure the extender. Does netgear have another option?

are you following the install guide?

have you tried hardwiring into the extender (disable wifi on whatever device you hardwire in so it doesn't default back to the wireless) for setup?
I am connecting with an ethernet cable
and am following instructions
so where is it failing? We're not there to see what error your getting, whats going on, what you're doing, so we need details.
I've done this numerous times and never had an issue.
Have you tried a different pc/laptop? tried a different browser?
Factory reset the extender?
