Creating a MESH Network with Nighthawk R7800 Router

Question

I am currently using an R7800 Nighthawk X4S router with a Netgear AC1200 Dual Band range extender. I would like to create a better more reliable network using MESH. If I keep my&nbsp;R7800, can I add on to it with either the Orbi or Netgear EX7700? The R7800 is on the second floor far end of my home and even with the range-extender, the signal is weak on the first floor opposite end of the house. Would two EX7700 or Orbi do the trick?

You can certainly run an Orbi as well if you currently have an Orbi router + satellite. Though, the Orbi router will need to be in access point (AP) mode.&nbsp;
