Creating WiFi from wired connection.
I have a laptop that connects into a hard wired (and locked in place) docking station. I would like to take an ethernet cable from the laptop to the PR2000 to create a WiFi access point from my laptop...

Any computer with two network interfaces and internet access on one can be used to share that access, and if the laptop has both wired & wireless interfaces (as most do), if it has internet access on the wired interface, sharing that internet access via the wireless is actually quite easy - all you need is the right software, and Microsoft has provided that with every version of Windows since Win98SE.
I don't recommend it, it's not particularly secure, but it CAN be done.
