    I ended up getting help from Netgear--a support guy in India who recreated the network.  It cost quite a bit--but it's done. Had I read about the ability to reset before I contacted them, it would have been awesome, but I didn't and it's done :-)

Hello Collegementors

 

Have you tried to factory reset the extender by holding the reset button for 10 seconds it should then let you do the set up again on the extender.
