Does X4 AC2200 & X6 AC2200 work with BE6500?

I have an AC1900 R7000 router on the ground floor of my house.
I have an X6 AC2200 extender on the second floor.
I have an X4 AC2200 extender in the basement.
This has worked well for a couple years.  I know you are not supposed to have two extenders on the same WiFi, but it’s been working (maybe far enough apart?)

My WiFi the past weeks keeps cutting out. I am worried my router is going bad and I need a new one.  I am looking at the BE6500 (if I’m going to buy new, why not go latest?)

Will my X4 AC2200 and my X6AC2200 work with the BE6500?   Or do I need to get a whole new system?

The extenders would work in a pinch. You'll only get WiFi modes that are supported by those older extenders. They don't support wifi 7. So no BE wifi or 6Ghz from those extenders.

Will it work? Yes. Will you enjoy the benefits of the Wireless BE speeds on the extenders? No. Will they have wpa3 like the BE router? No.

If you're already using extenders, I'd look at going to a mesh system versus keeping it cobbled together. That luckily works.

the RBE773 system is pretty solid.

Thank you for your time and answer.  Your comments had me reconsider and I installed a complete new Orbi mesh system.  I went with the RBK753P as a compromise of getting a complete system, upgrading my system functionality, and price.
