Change the IP address on either the D7800 or the extender. Both use static addresses, so you may have inadvertently set the same address on both devices.

I've changed the router IP address to 192.168.2.1 and the problem persits with dupicate ARP requests.

I can't see the picture until the moderators approve it.
Is the router complaining about 192.168.1.1 or 192.168.2.1?
You changed the router's subnet, so you should change the extender's IP address to be in the same subnet.

Thanks for your responses.
The duplicate ARP requests are coming from the Extender which is announcing itself as the same IP as the router: 192.168.2.1 (ie presemuably on the same subnet).
I will go through the setup process on the Extender again to see if that helps.

I can see the picture you posted earlier.
Does MAC address, Netgear_43:ef:2b, belong to the D7800 or the EX7300?
Do you know which device belongs to MAC address to 16:da:43:0b:c3:58? Log into the extender and see if the MAC address belongs to the extender.
