How big is the home?
How far from the router is the extender?
Are you using dfs channels on the RAX80? Might be worth setting the speed down to "up to 2400mbps" to limit usage of DFS channels.
what are you interior walls made from? (certain materials block wifi better than others)

My house is about 2600 sq ft, the router is upstairs and the extender is downstairs. They are about 25 feet apart with no direct line of sight. The walls are standard sheet rock. Not sure about dfs , where is that set?

DFS is a specific set of channels that devices are forced to move off of if an approved device is broadcasting on it. If your router is set to "up to 4800mbps" speed, its using dfs. Set it down to up to 2400 and change to either the lowest or highest 5ghz channel.
