EAX20 Wi-Fi Extender cannot communicate with RAX40 Router
Hi Everyone,
I've been having trouble with my extender communicating with my router, it appears to be a firmware issue. Every time I upgrade my router to the latest firmware (1.0.4.102), I lose overall Wi-Fi (main SSID disappears, only extender network is broadcasting). Furthermore, my extender can no longer link with my router. If I hardwire LAN into the router, internet is perfect, but no Wi-Fi. If I reboot my router with the extender disconnected, business as usual, Wi-Fi is perfect. I've downgraded to the previous firmware 1.0.3.94 and my network is now stable. I also tried factory resetting my router on the latest firmware with no luck.
Anyone having the same issue? Would love some feedback. Thanks.
Router: RAX 40, Firmware: 1.0.3.94
Extender: EAX20, Firmware: 1.0.1.64

so its only when you upgrade the router's firmware that there's issues?
If so, I'd leave it on the older version until a new one is released.
Are you setting up the extender with wps or the installation assistant?
Have you checked if that makes a difference.

Correct, only when I upgrade to the latest firmware.
I tried setting up the extender both with wps and the installation assistant. No difference.
Thanks.
