Eax80

My EAX80 extender will disconnect everyday. I only have on device that stays hooked up to the 2.4g network. But it will disconnect everyday. The Wi-Fi signal light will stay white like it’s connected to the network but devices will not connect to it unless I restart the EAX80. Sometimes I cannot even connect to the 2.4g network from my phone but I’ll be able to connect to the 5g. I’ve tried multiple factory resets, and I’ve tired updating the firmware but there is no new firmware. I have a CAX80 modem router

what firmware is on the router and on the extender?

Are you using the dfs channels for the CAX80?

If the speed is set for "up to 4800mbps" its using the dfs channels.

Try setting it to "up to 2400mbps" and select a channel not in the dfs range.

Maybe there's periodic radar in the area and its causing it to switch and it might not be switching back/forth properly.

  • I had a similar issue, Sorry no one chimed in before me with a solution. I will note through the process of setting up fastlane if chosen you must type your current network name in exactly when on that screen. I made a post on the subject, not one person contributed though. I seemed to have found the solution albeit only a few days has passed but so far so good. In the link below is my solution:
