I have just looked at the manual for the Netgear Nighthowk AC1900 WIFI Range Extender - Model EX7000 - and it seems to be able to be connected via ethernet and work as an access point.
Can anyone tell me if this product will deliver WIFI for both my home network like my ReadyNAS, and also allow devices to connect to the internet.
One further question. In Access Point Mode it looks like you are unable to use the ethernet ports on the device to connect wired devices to it. Can someone confirm that I have understood this right.
Thanks,
PEter

Yes, the EX7000 also works in AP mode. The EX7000 will need to be ethernet connected to your router, using one of your wireless router ports.
You create SSID's just like your router, which can also be the same same as your wireless router. Use different wireless channels (2.4 and 5 ghz) than your wireless router on the EX7000. The EX7000 in AP mode, all the LAN ports can be used. All devices that connect to this AP (wireless or wired) can connect to the internet, if all your devices are cabled, and configured correctly.
