ethernet port connection

I have gone through the setup and everthing seems to work except the speed of the ethernet connections.  I have read in this board that the ethernet ports can be set to  only use the 5GHz band, but I cant seem to find that setting in the setup or the status to make this happen.

I am using the latest firmware version V1.0.1.84_1.0.148

I am set to use the basic setup of both 2.4 and 5Ghz  bands.

My Router is the TPlink AC4000 and I am getting 500MBps service which is what I am have through the ethernet ports on the router.  I do understand that the ehternet ports on the extender will only come the the range of the wifi to the extender, but to me it looks like it is only using the 2.4 band of about 86Mbps

Where is the setting to default the EX7000 ehternet connection to 5GHz ?

    Hello joelpps,

This may sound silly but have you tried switching out the ethernet cable? What are the speed results for your wired devices that are connected to the extender? One thing to note is that a wired connection is different from a WiFi connection, specifically the 5GHz band is a WiFi connection). Wired devices do not connect to the 5GHz band.
