1. try updating the firmware to version 1.0.0.226. Then do a factory reset and reinstall.
2. if the extender is hardwired in, it should be setup in access point mode. I've seen users set it up in extender mode and then hardwire it in and cause issues. So after the factory reset, hardwire it in and re-run setup using the installation assistant and make sure to select access point mode.
To factory reset, push and hold the reset button for 7-15 seconds while powered on.
Here's a video of how to use the assistant.

1st thank you for your feedback and recommendations.
Current status; Back up operational and monitoring via service bay users. So the jury is out until maybe Friday but next week would afford better sampling & averages.
I've attached some pics of the settings which brings me to a gray area. I reset the unit while it was on by holding in the Reset button for around 8 seconds when I noticed the LEDs changing. It came back up with no settings saying it needs to be set up. Once I clicked on Access Point it filled in the rest with previous settings. Not sure what to make of that but it works left it.

Looks pretty solid and like its working. Hope it stays working.
The one thing you might look at changing is the one 5ghz channel is set on a dfs channel. If you have anything broadcasting on dfs channels in your area, it can cause it to drop for a period of time as it changes to a none dfs channel. You might just set it to one.
