EX3700-100PES
Hi,
I'm struggling again with my EX3700-100PES configuration. Really this configuration is over-complicated
Two years ago I finally managed to have it working as an Extender (ONLY for the LAN-port, so *_2GEXT and *_5GEXT disabled), but can't remember how I managed.
I know I could connect to the EX3700-100PES-interface from my Desktop-PC via my LAN
- so NOT via the EX3700-100PES LAN-port
- but Desktop-PC-->LAN-->Wifi-Router-->WiFi-->EX3700-100PES
Now I changed my Wifi-network and had to reconnect the EX3700-100PES to the new SSID.
As I didn't get it working I finally :
- did a reset
- connected my Tablet to the NETGEAR_EXT
- browsed to w w w (dot) m y w i f i e x t (dot) n e t
- selected "as Extender"
- configured the SSID (confirmed in my Router by an IP-Address)
- disabled *_2GEXT and *_5GEXT
- -->The Router-Link-LED is solid Green
My problem : Once above steps are executed
- I lose connection on my Tablet to the EX3700-100PES
- and no way to connect from my Desktop-PC as described above despite using the IP-address shown in my router.
This worked two years ago (and also when I started the SSID-modification), so I don't understand what I'm missing this time.

Why are you disabling the ssid broadcast?
Maybe last time you changed something else.
Does it stay working if you leave them enabled?
What router are you connecting it to?
Why are you disabling the ssid broadcast?
Because I need the EX3700-100PES only for it's LAN-port
Maybe last time you changed something else.
Probably but I can't remember as I struggled then too and got it finally working without knowing why it did in the end

I haven't tried that. But the DesktopPC connect over the LAN through the RouterLink, so the broadcasts shouldn't be involved ?
What router are you connecting it to?
The old Wifi-network was an Proxim AP-600
When I changed in the WebUI it's SSID to the new SSID, I lost control too, reason why I restarted with a reset
The new WiFi-Network is part of the FritzBox 7490.

Leave the wifi ssid enabled and see if it works
