EX3700 security issue

When I initially set up my wifi extender everything worked except the WPS LED never turned on.  The WiFi worked so I decided it would be okay.  Today I changed my WIFi password and had to reset up the extender.  The WPS light is still not on and now when I log in to the WiFi network my IPhone and IPad is saying that it is a weak security network. The extender is set up as WPA/WPA2 (TKIP).  It then says to configure the router to use WPA2 or WPA3 security type.  I am so clueless when it comes to these types of things so I am hoping that someone can help me with this issue!

      I was on the phone with tech support for 1 hour and 45 min because my internet also kept disconnecting. I had to reset the product to factory setting and the person walked me through having to set up my extender again. It is working and he said I shouldn’t have the problem again. It is all very confusing but calling tech support did help me.
