EX3700 to Inseego 5g hotspot connection issues
Hi there,
I am having issues connecting a ex3700 wifi extender to an Inseego 5ghotspot from tmobil. The process I have tried is as follows. 1. reset extender. 2. find the extender network, netgear_ext and connect to it from mobil device other than hotspot. 3.manage router under advanced settings and enter the information and begin to register the new network.4. I have tried all available networks that show from the hotspot they include 5ghrz , 2.4 and both. I also have the correct ssid. 5. enter the hotspot network password correct and confirmed 6.on the 5ghrz network I was unable to connect, but on the 2.4 the wizard it indicated I was connected but then on the final screen on the wizard where I confirm the connection and continue, it never connected to the hotspot. I have tried numerous times unsucessfully. I can however connect this to a phone that is being used as a hotspot relatively quick and easy just not the dedicated hotspot. Any help is appreciated.

what actual model hotspot is it?
what firmware is on the extender?

The Inseego is a M2000. I will need so direction to find the firmware for the extender as it is not shown anywhere in the netgear wizard.

I couldn't find much info on that hotspot because its a pretty new 5g hotspot.
If the extender is working off the phone's hotspot/other devices, it'd make me wonder if tmobile has something in it locked down to prevent repeating. Or if its a setting on the M2000.
Are you using wpa3 on the M2000? Try disabling wpa3
Are yo using any special characters in the ssid/password for the hotspot? Try removing them.
- Mpcjax57AspirantI have the InseegoF3100 and this Netgear Extender works perfectly:

There is a model under this that I did not test.
Make sure it is Wifi 6 and supports meshing.
