EX3700 WiFi Range Extender

I have been using this WiFi extender for a little while not and it's been great, until now. Today, I reset it because I had forgotten the password to the account. Since I had now had access to the settings, I updated the firmware and I also tried to set a static IP for it because it would occasionally drop out. This worked for the 2G network, but not for the 5G. I have since factory reset it, but when I try and set it up with the 5G network it will find it after the scan, but when it tries to set up the network it says it "was not able to connect to your existing network".
Firmware: V1.0.0.58_1.0.38

Can anyone help please?

    Hello AElbaum

Have you tried to set up the extender in the same room as the router then try moving it.

      Hi,

I ended up fixing it by downgrading the firmware. For some reason the newest firmware wouldnt let it function on 5G.

      Thanks
