EX3800 Windows 10 connects OK, then randomly disconnects and says key is unvalid
Firmware updated today. UK model. Device is connected to router by Ethernet and is configured as an access point.
Works perfectly with an HP printer and several phones.
Windows 10 laptop connects and works for some time. Then it drops the connection for no apparent reason. Trying to reconnect, it seems to have lost the WiFi key and asks for it. Key is entered by copying it from a text file used to set up the extender and pasting it into the Windows dialogue (yes, tried typing it as well :) ) Windows goes away and several seconds later says "Failure to connect" and asks for the key again. Rebooting everything doesn't help.
I have re-initialied the extender and set it up from scratch, as well as using a save config file. Telling Windows to forget the network, rebooting it and retrying connecting does not work. I re-initialied the extender a second time and hey-presto! Connection!
This is the third time this scenario has unfurled!
Oh, and as far as I know, all Windows drivers are correct and up to date.

Do any other devices have issues?
Or just the one?- ITFixtAspirant
Just that one. I am aware that this sort of points the finger at it being a Windows 10 problem but (a) it was all working poerfectly OK for some months and (b) sometimes a Windows problem can relate to just one other device.
BTW, the laptop works OK with an old Belkin eouter configured as an access point! We'd rather use the Netgear extender, though, as it's a lot faster.- plemansGuru - Experienced User
what actual wireless card is having issues?
What driver version is it using?
What firmware is on the extender?
What router is the extender connected to?
Have you tried setting a reserved/static ip address for the laptop in your router?
