ex6100 wifi range extender setup

Question

i am trying to install my netgear wifi range extender ex6100. when i try to connect the extender in my samsung galaxy tab wi-fi networks i am getting "failed to obtain ip address".

i also tried to connect manually with my router ethernet to the extender and also got the same message.

what's my next step?

Hi gg2000,

Please disconnect the ethernet cord that is connecting your router to extender.

Turn on the EX6100, then Factory reset the EX6100 (page 37 of 47)

If possible, use a computer, then follow the setup procedure in the manual (page 10 of 47)
