Hi, today I brought an AC1200 Dual Band WiFi Range Extender. I have set it all up correctly to what it said on the instructions. My router has picked the extender up and connected but when I move it to where I want to put it in the house with all lights still on, it doesn't accept the router password when I try to connect to it and says there is an authentication problem? Any help would be awesome. Thanks

Did you set it up via wps? This is the default install method and always tends to have issues with isp supplied routers (and some 3rd party routers).
If you installed via this method, reset the extender back to factory (push and hold reset for 7-15 seconds while powered on) and then follow the installation wizard method instead.
- Nuttall88AspirantThank you for the reply. That is exactly what I have done I've tried 3 different booster boxes aswell and they have all done the same. I will try what you have said and get back to you.
- Nuttall88AspirantHi, I've just tried to find extender through my laptop and it can't find the NETGEAR_EXT connection? Isit possibly because we already have and extender in the back living room and it's getting confused?

You have multiple extenders? I'd recommend powering them down during boot up.
And make sure they use a differnet ssid from the primary router.
