EX6200 stopped working

Hi,

Today my EX6200 wifi extender randomly stopped working. I am using the extender as an access point for my PC, so I use an ethernet cable to connect to my PC. While using my computer the connection disappeared to be replaced by an 'unidentified network' and 'no internet access'. I have since taken the extender down to my router and gone through the setup process on the mywifiext.net site, I managed to connect my laptop to the extender wirelessly and the router LED was lit green. I then turned of the extender and took it back to my PC to connect with the ethernet cable, and the same problem persisted even with the router LED lit up. I also tried to connect wirelessly again with my laptop and this time I could not connect. I looked online and tried a factory reset which also has not worked and wil not even connect to my laptop (wirelessly) even with the router LED lit up.

I hope this helps to diagnose the problem

Cheers, Conor

  • My ex6120 has the same issue, though I never connected to it via Ethernet. I would also like to know how to fix it. Don't like to pay $45 for a paper weight.

    Hello ConorThomas

So it will work when you take it down beside the router? Have you tried changing the wireless channel on the router?
