EX6200 Wireless Extender connection options
I am considering a range extender for home - an EX6200
I have some questions :
1. Can the extender be connected to the router via an ethernet cable rather than wirelessly so it can be place further out of range of the router ?
or can it only be connected wirelessly.
2. With a range extender installed and operating in a house, does the access point name remain the same regardless of where you are in the house
E.G. if I access internet with my smart phone or tablet at my router, when I move to the other end of the house covered only by the range extender, will my devices remain connected or do they have to change access point names ?
Thank you

I’m pretty sure that the extender can connect to the router via an ethernet cable but can’t currently double check this.
The actions of client devices when moving around the house are set at the client devices themselves. Typically there will be a setting in the devices Advanced Properties called something like ‘Roaming Aggressiveness’ which will change how easily the device changes from one AP to another, there are plenty of Internet pages describing that function if you have a search.
