EX6400 extender frequent fails

EX6400 wifi extender has worked very well for over 2 years.   currently and suddenly it disconnects frequently.

 

we haven’t had any internet disrupts on our base/router channel, but our netgear EX6400 extender has been acting oddly.
 
ext 2 & 5 will be fine and then not work for no apparent reason.  will not connect to phones, ipads, TV etc.
 
all green LEDs indicating no problem, but no connect.  remote devices show full bars but also signal no internet.
 
turn it off and back on, it cycles and returns to all green, and voila, 2 & 5 are back in business.
 
it’s recent, and happens several times per day.
 
i’ve looked thru the manual…no help but i did notice an odd IP address at one point, which is apparently an indication of seeking a connect ?
 
 (see attached link) which references the IP issue from a forum a couple of years ago
 

 

any suggestions re a fix ?

    You may want to change your wireless channels and update the firmware to the latest.
