EX700 No internet access when connecting Vista desktop to extender via ethernet

My primary issue is that I cannot access websites despite having Windows Vista showing a successful connection.

 

The Network Map shows PC --- EX3700 --- Gateway --- Internet, all with good connections. When I access the Netgear Genie on my macbook's browser, the PC is listed under connected devices. The PC is connected to the EX3700 extender via an ethernet cable.

 

I suspect that there are settings I can change on the PC to actually access the internet, but I'm not familiar enough with network settings to know what to do. Any suggestions or instructions would be greatly appreciated.
