EX7000 and EX7300 added to R7000 - Setup

Greetings,

 

I have R7000 as Wifi router downstairs and have added an EX7000 extender downstairs and an EX7300 extender upstairs.

 

What are best practices for setting up the SSID and Channels?  My goal would be to connect to the strongest signal available.

 

I have heard using the same SSID across devices with different channels.  I have also heard using the same SSID on the extenders but not the router.

 

Looking for true experience and guidance.

    You typically would want to user different SSID on all of them and make sure you do not connect extender to extender.
