EX7000 AP and EX6400v2 extender won't connect

Question

I am using the EX7000 as an access point and it works just fine. I bought the EX6400v2 to use an extender and it won't connect to the access point. It sees the network but won't create a data connection. Is there an issue with using these two devices together like this? Any suggestions?

They should work togther fine if the ex7000 is in AP mode and the EX6400v2 is in extender mode.

when you say it sees the network but won't create a data connection, do you mean that it connects but gives a "internet not available" notice?

What router are you using? It handles the dhcp and maybe its having an issue going AP-----extender.

What firmware is on each extender?

Hardware Version&nbsp;EX7000Firmware Version&nbsp;V1.0.1.84_1.0.148&nbsp;I don't have the firmware version for the extender, this is the second extender that I have tried, the first had the same issue and tech support said to just return it and try another. The second failed as well so I figure there is something else going on. The router is from comcast business with ethernet connection to the EX7000. Not sure what to tell you with the comcast business router. I've read of issues with comcast's business setups having issues running extenders and this could be part of the issue. Have you checked with them?

The last guy from comcast just suggensted that I don't use thier wifi and only use the modem as a bridge to the netgear router. That cleared up a few other issues.&nbsp;
