EX7000 ethernet only bridge mode
I have an EX7000 range extender and I want to run it ONLY as a wifi bridge for my workstation computer with ethernet only. Current firmware. I'm connecting to community wifi from my apartment complex...

Another thing is that www.mywifiext.net never works once the EX7000 is connected to a wifi network so I have no way to change settings. Is there an alternative method to access your settings?
mywifiiext.local should connect to the extender's web pages if you are connected to the EX7000's client-facing network (either ethernet or WiFi).
If not, you can find the extender's IP address in your router's attached device list, and connect to the web pages by browsing to the IP address.

That should have worked, so perhaps try that again.
Another approach is to not broadcast the SSID - though you should still maintain good security on the passphrase, since people can still find the network if they have the correct tools.

I'll try mywifiext.local instead of .net. I can't see the IP of the extender because it's community wifi so I don't have a way to see devices connected

Wait, I'm pretty sure I've tried the local URL before and it didn't work. It seems to be Mac only. Is it a known bug that prevents mywifiext from working? If there's no solution I might just return the EX7000 and try the Linksys RE9000 instead even though it's more expensive

Again, once connected to the community wifi, www.mywifiext.net is inaccessible and so is .local. I'm just going to exchange it for a Linksys

.local isn't mac-only and should have worked with Windows. https://kb.netgear.com/000045264/How-do-I-update-the-firmware-on-my-Nighthawk-Mesh-WiFi-Range-Extender

To be clear, it won't work if your device is connected to the community wifi, but it should work if you are connected to the extender wifi.
