EX7000 Ethernet ports functional in extender mode?

Please clarify this for me.  I just got an EX7000 and set it up in range extender mode.  In this configuration, are the ethernet ports available to hook up devices to the EX7000 by wire?  Or do the ethernet ports only work in access point mode?  I was hoping to connect several devices in my TV alcove diretly to the EX7000 by wire, but when I tried this, they could not make a connection.  I was trying to decrease the number of wirless connections, but for now they are all stil using wifi.
