  • Updated an EX7000 from an earlier firmware to 1.0.1.78 using the "one click" method on the extender, the process worked out as expected.

The language file is integrated with the single zip archive, resp. the chk firmware image. Must be an incomplete download. Get it manually from EX7000 downloads, unpack the ZIP archive, and use the manual firmware upload from the extender Web UI.

      I'm having the same problem.

I looked into doing the manual update as per the accepted solution but the release notes warn that all settings on the device may be lost. Is that likely? It makes me hesitant to follow that process.

Is Netgear likely to fix the online update process for this soon? And is that process less likely to reset the device settings?

FYI for anyone interested, after no response to my query above I went ahead and performed the manual firmware update as per the instructions. It worked no problem and my device settings were retained.
