EX7000 in AP mode issues

So, I've just set up an EX7000 in AP mode as a replacement for the wifi integrated into my ISP-suppied router. The EX7000 is connected via ethernet to the router. I'm having a couple of issues:

1. My main PC cannot detect the 2.4Ghz network (other devices can, so it may be an issue with the wifi card in the pc - still annoying)

2. None of my 5Ghz-capatible devices can see the 5Ghz network from the EX7000, even though the EX7000 is reporting that the 5Ghz network is active.

Anyone have any ideas?

This probably doesn’t help you, but I also have an EX7000 in AP mode and don’t have either of those issues. I would agree that your first issue is most likely with the PC. For the second issue try disabling (and apply) then re-enabling (an apply) the 5GHz band. Are you sure that devices are dual band, some people confuse 802.11n as meaning the device must be 5Ghz capable which isn’t necessarily correct?

Both issues appeared to have resolved themselves, I can't be sure what fixed it but I did disconnect the EX7000 from the power for a few minutes as I was rewiring. After I plugged it back in both problems seem to have gone, my PC can see and connect to the 2.4GHz network and my other devices are now happily connected by the 5Ghz network.

One thing I did notice before the hard reset was that on the status page the Wifi channel information for both 2.4 and 5 Ghz networks seemed odd. The 2.4 said something like 44(P)+48(S) despite being set to auto (it now says Auto (13)) while the 5Ghz channel was 11 (it is now  36 + 40 + 44 + 48(P)). Must be a software thing.

      Thanks for your help.
