Darren,
I am currently using a Technicolor TC8717T, also since my last post the 2.4 ghz has continued to go out with more noticable frequency.

Hello ArcherX
You could try a couple things. Make sure your EX7000 is on the latest firmware. You could also try to adjust the wireless channels on your main router maybe some other wifi network or home appliance is causing the drops in the signal. Last thing is you could try to factory reset the extender and set it up again.

Hi Folks - Same problem: Nighthawk X8 AC5300 Triband R8500 Router. 2.4 GHZ works fine. 5GHz can't support a consistent signal. Nothing can connect to it. Upgraded firmware in both router and extender, reset extender 2x, tried the WPS connection a number of times as well as the mywifiext tool. I can see the 5ghz name broadcasting, and the signal is strong - just no connectivity to any device is possible.
