EX7300 -- PC can't connec to the extended network

I recently purchased an EX7300 wifi extender, installed it with the manual setup and it works on every other device (HP PC, Toshiba PC, Kindle) except for my HP PC, from which I did the setup. I tried resetting it, re-installing it, the connection is available in the WiFi list, but when I try to connect it says "unable to connect to this network"

What is the solution?

Thanks.

Have you checked if that PC has the latest wireless drivers?

No.  I will try that, but I have doubts that will solve the problem.  The Toshiba PC that can connect is several years older than my HP Pavillion and it connects without any problems.

      I'll let y'all know.

      Thanks.

Well, that didn't work very well.  I downloaded the latest RealTek driver from HP.  It seemed to install correctly but then every time I tried to connect to WiFi, I would get a blue screen with a error message regarding the wifi adapter and restart.  Didn't matter if I was trying to connect to the original network or the .EXT network.

      So, that was a unproductive.

Finally had to have a local networking services tech come out.  We disabled the internal RealTek wifi adapter and installed an outboard one.  That gets me to the original network, but still can't connect to the Netgear POS (Product Of Stress).

Even though the Netgear Extender showed a "Good" signal, the tech's diagnostic equipment indicated a very low signal.  Even when we moved it closer and closer to the Modem/Router, the signal remained very low.  Even in the same room.

So, the resolution was to take the device back, get my money back and am now shopping for another manufacturer's product.

Thanks for the help, but as they say on Shark Tank, "For those reasons, I'm out!"
