EX7300 AC2200 Not working

Hi,

I am having an issue setting up my extender again. I have set it up before when I first bought it, but now I have a new modem and need to re-set up the extender. This time however the extender just wont do anything. The lights are all stuck on the same colors. forgive me for not knowing the names, but the first light ((i)) is solid amber besdie that are two arrows both arrows are lit up blue. beside those is a square box (()) which is solid amber. The power button is solid amber and the WPS button is solid green. I can't get into the extender using the mywifiext link. I cannot find netgear_ext in my wifi list. Nor can I find any *blank*_ext variations. I have tried getting in via my phone, tablet, a laptop and with a desktop. Ive had it directly plugged into my modem via ethernet cable and well as I tried the WPS option. I have tried a facotry reset but nothing happens. It just sits there with the colors the same as I described before.

I have tried customer support but hey wont even talk to me with me paying $65 which is ridiculous. How can a company say I have a 1 year hardware warrent on a product but in order to exersize my warranty I have to pay $65 to talk to you outside of my 90 days. Terrible terrible customer support. An hour and a half an I got nothing. Hopefully someone on here can help because netgear refuse4s to help me. Its beyond frustrating.

when you reset, did you push and hold reset for up to 30 seconds while it was powered on?

Did the lights change while you were holding reset?

If that doesn't work, you can try recoving it with tftp or nmrpflash.

are you on windows? if so, follow this guide

    https://kb.netgear.com/000059634/How-to-upload-firmware-to-a-NETGEAR-router-using-Windows-TFTP

just make sure you enable tftp

    https://www.thewindowsclub.com/enable-tftp-windows-10

and here's a video walk through using a tftp client. Use the built in one for windows 10 though. the video is more of an example of how its done.

and if that doesn't work, you can try using nmrpflash

      Hi,

Nothing changes at all, its as if the device just will not factory reset. the lights all stay amber, blue and green.

I tried the tftp method but that didnt work, kept saying it couldnt find the server or something after 3 retry's. I have tried everything I could find online except that last option you gave. I may need more time to try that out.

This thing was working fine, now that I received an new modem the thing has been bricked and I cant figure it out. Customer support is beyond bad.

Have you had any luck with warrantly replacements? How does someone get their product replaced under their 1-year warrantly if they wont talk to you after 90 days?

Thank you for you time plemans

warranty replacement is clicking on the "mynetgear' at the top.

Register your account and the device.

From there you can start a support case.

be advised that if it isn't a hardware failure, support does cost $.

If you've tried all the things (reset, tftp, nmrpflash) it kind of limits whether its can be a firmware/software failure but theres always that chance.
