EX7700 factory resetting itself, Customer service is useless and I want to make a complaint!
So one of my two range extenders keeps factory resetting itself and requires me to go through setup to get it working again. Contacted support to be told i need to pay for a gearhead support contract, i obliged and got through to someone. He bumbled about looking at settings and checked the firmware was up to date. He told to me to hold the reset button for 20 seconds and the extender reset again. After an hour on the phone to him it cut off and even though he reassured me that he had my number and would call me back if i got cut off...he never called back.
So for the fourth time in as many weeks i have setup my extender again with no fix. The other extender i have has been flawless, its just this one is playing up randomly. I am inclined to think its a hardware issue but when on the phone to support he insisted it wasnt.
So ive paid for a service contract and no closer to a fix.
Does netgear have a complaints department /number i can contact directly?

There isn't a complaint number I know of.
Maybe a moderator can help. ( Christian_R )
In the meantime, whatt actual firmware are you on?
Sometimes the latest isn't always the greatest. Or if something corrupt in it, a factory reset doesn't overwrite the firmware.
So what I'd try and the order:
1. reinstall the firmware. If somethings corrupt in the current firmware, this overwrites it.
2. downgrade the firmware a version. Maybe theres an issue with the firmware you're on for some reason (and only on the 1 device). you can downgrade the firmware.
