EX8000 WiFi Range Extender: Power Draining Brick (Help appreciated).

First of all this device worked great for a few months, but now the main lights just perpetually flash white, while the power LED flashes red and the device doesn't do anything other than that. It doesn't seem to respond to my attempts to reset the device (via the reset button) and it certainly doesn't seem to connect to the router (via wps). I've read through the user manual which makes no reference or indication of the problem I am experiencing. Bottom line, what the hell is wrong with this thing?
