Extend Wifi to connect solar inverters using Netgear R6300 router to extend Nighthawk X4 R7500 wifi
I have been trying to connect my R6300 router to my network which uses the R7500 router but have had such difficulty even though I have found a narrative of a "how to". It sounds so easy reading it, but things just don't work the way they are explained.
Does anyone have suggestions as to how to do this?
The R6300 is new, just out of the box.

how are you trying to connect it?
Are you running an ethernet wire from the R7500 to the R6300?
Are you trying to setup a wireless bridge?
The R6300 doesn't have extender/repeater mode, so exactly what are you doing and trying to configure it like?

Ihanks for a speedy reply
I've tried wireless and cat 5 but cannot reach the 6300 router login.
I was using the following, hoping to use the Genie as Tomsguide did, but nothing worked the same. So I was reading the one from digitaltrends and got lost.
This is a first attempt at this, obliously. Suggestions would be appreciated.

Step 1 in tom's guide: find a compatible router.
the R6300 doesn't have an extender mode. Maybe with 3rd party firmware but not in stock form.
