Extender not connecting X4S 7500

I currently have a MR60 Mesh wifi setup in my house. Needed to extend wifi downstairs but couldn't buy just one extender of the MR60. I was sold a X4s 7500 tri band Mesh extender. 

  I cannot get it to 1) connect or extend off my exisitng router and 2) the Nighthawk app doesn't recognise it so can't just "add a device".

At a loss here as device doesn't seem to recognise anything.

    it doesn't integrate with the system but you should be able to connect it. 

    don't use wps for setup since it doesn't fully integrate. 

    Factory reset the extender and then install it using the installation assistant. Not wps or the app.
