I have the same problem with my D7800. After a password change and firmware update on my router some days ago (prior to which everything seemed to be working fine), I am unable to connect from my iMac, where I was connecting by ethernet. Trying to connect to routerlogin.net in my browser gives an error that the server cannot be found, and trying to get to router settings from the Genie app, it simply says "Netgear router is not found or is not suported." So I thought factory reset on the router might help, but nothing I try seems to reset it.
Having read a number of related threads, I have tried:
- Pressing reset button for at least 10 seconds, while on, and while off.
- Pressing reset button for 30 seconds while on, turning off for 30 seconds, then back on for 30 seconds, all while holding rest.
- Toggling the reset button on and off while toggling the router on and off simulataneously.
- Disconnecting and reconnecting, then trying all above again.
After each these attempts I always end up with the same result - the power light slowly flashes white on and off, while the light corresponding to my ethernet port connection also flashes on and off.
Any help appreciated.
