Fastlane: Iis it all its cracked up to be?

Question

I have an EX6200. Been using it the conventional way for ages. Wondering if I should change to "fastlane"? Is it all tis cracked up to be? What are your impressions?

I know one cannot specify a channel to use unless its in fastlane and that is a plus but does fastlane actually improve speed and capacity etc?
