Fire TV stick woes

I have managed to connect my range extender to my home hub without any problems, however the reason i bought the extender was to get a stronger signal downstairs in my house so my Amazon TV Fire stick streams TV easier. the extender shows up on the Fire sticks network list in settings & shows a good strong signal but i cannot connect the Fire stick to the extender no matter what i do. i have entered my network password & the Netgear default password time & time again but it always says the same thing ' password invalid' & refuses to connect

Any ideas?

    Hello lazycalm

have you tried to change the security type on the extender or even remove the password for testing to see if the fire tv will connect.
