Fitting the right version to needs
Hello everybody
I intend to install this article or its stronger vesion according to your advise in my L shaped premises of an altbau, the arms of the L 10-15 m' long. The Router is located in the connection point of the arms. Presently the signal at the far ends of the arms is unstable. It passes through 3 30-40 cm thick brick walls. The system is ntensed to enable simoultanous view of 4 different Netflix movies.
I shall be grateful would you advise me as for the following:
A. shall I buy the N300 or a stronger version?
B . Could 1 be enough?
C. Will locating the device and/or the router close to the yard window improve their performance?
Thanx so much in advance!

Faster if you want to watch 4 simultaneous movies. Though the speed you need depends on the resolution of the movies you want to watch. https://help.netflix.com/en/node/306
But this also depends on your router model, it would be helpful to know that.

If you want to watch the movies at the end of both arms, you will likely need two. The router is likely already in the best position, and you need to get the signal to both ends.
Note you'd put each extender part way along each arm.

Can't say, since I have no idea where that yard window is. If you have an Android phone, you can get a free app that lets you see the signal strength - that can be very helpful when sorting out the best placement. Netgear provides an app like that (WiFi Analyzer).

Thanx a lot!
The yard's window is also at the connection of the arms. From there the signal can penetrate one arm of the L through glass only, with no walls interfeering. It saves 2 of 4 external walls to the other one.
This inquiry is at all on air because the installation there is complicated even for a trial and very compllicated for permanent utilization.

That could help then. Unfortunately the only easy way to tell is to try it. Though inconvenient, a temporary placement there would let you can see if coverage in the arms improves w/o the extenders. If it doesn't change much, then it won't help the extenders either.
Using an Orbi (either as a router or an AP) is perhaps also worth considering - though it would be more expensive.
