Hello ianw314
Does your powerline base share the same wall that is powering your appliances like your refrigerator or washing machine? That can cause to much noise on the powerline for it to work you would have to move the powerline adapter to a different wall. Also have you tried to test the unit in a different room to see if you can get it to work just for testing?

Hi Darren,
Thanks for taking the time to reply.
Theres no electrical appliances in the room and yes I've also tried the adapter in another room.
How common is it for a new Powerline to be delivered faulty?
I have the Communications Engineer coming to install a TP Link wifi Powerline next week so this may confirm if it's the Netgear Powerline that is faulty.

I wouldn't say its common but it could be a faulty unit.

Darren as I said in my first post I bought the Powerline directly from Virgin Media, however I require a little guidance on who to contact for a refund. Would this be Virgin Media or Netgear?
