Theres no electrical appliances in the room and yes I've also tried the adapter in another room.
How common is it for a new Powerline to be delivered faulty?
I have the Communications Engineer coming to install a TP Link wifi Powerline next week so this may confirm if it's the Netgear Powerline that is faulty.

I wouldn't say its common but it could be a faulty unit.

Darren as I said in my first post I bought the Powerline directly from Virgin Media, however I require a little guidance on who to contact for a refund. Would this be Virgin Media or Netgear?
